About the PIUT

In our FAQ section, you can find answers to the most frequently asked questions about the Paznaun Ischgl Ultra Trail. Read on to learn everything you need to know about the trail running event!

Mandatory equipment for PIUT 100 and PIUT 85

  • Backpack
  • Gels and bars labelled with your race number
  • Safety and communication equipment: a fully functional, charged mobile phone with emergency numbers saved, and a whistle
  • Race number filled out on the back (address, contact person, blood group, allergies, etc.)
  • Rescue blanket
  • First-aid kit (waterproof packaging): Contains a thermal blanket, an elastic bandage, sterile dressings, wound disinfectant, adhesive plasters and blister plasters.
  • Jacket (waterproof)
  • Long overtrousers, running trousers or leg warmers
  • Headband or cap
  • Headlamp with at least 3h battery or spare battery
  • Foldable cup or soft flask for drinking

For the PIUT TEN only a foldable cup or a soft flask for drinks is mandatory, gels and bars brought along must be labelled with the start number.

Drop Bag Options for PIUT 100 & PIUT 85
Drop-off: By Friday, 10 July 2026, 20:00 at the Race Office (Ischgl)
Pick-up: By Saturday, 11 July 2026, 22:00 at the Race Office (Ischgl)

Accessible Drop Bag Stations:
Kappl (village square)
Ischgl (finish area – you will pass through once)
Galtür

Important Information:
Only PIUT starter bags may be used
No glass bottles in the drop bags
Clearly label all drop bags with your name and race number

Showers are located at the finish in Ischgl (football pitch).

All luggage will be collected at the starting points and transported to Ischgl. Please do not use travelling bags, but small pieces of luggage.

Dogs are generally allowed, but there are some important rules to observe: Dogs must be kept on a lead to ensure everyone's safety. Dog owners must also carry dog waste bags, which can be disposed of after use at the designated disposal stations along the paths. In addition, all rules for dealing with cattle must be observed in order to prevent dogs and animals from coming into contact with each other on the pasture.

What do I get at the aid stations/refreshment zones?

Water, ISO, tea, fruit, cake, savoury snacks, bread... in different quantities

Start numbers and starter bags can be collected from the Race Office in Ischgl at the following times:

  • Friday, 11 July
    • 01:00 pm - 08:00 pm: Accreditation, race number distribution & late entry for PIUT and PIUT TEN
    • 01:00 pm - 02:30 pm: Accreditation, race number distribution & late entry for PIUT KIDS RACE
  • Saturday, 12 July 
    • 07:00 am - 10:30 am: Accreditation, race number distribution & late entry for PIUT30, PIUT20 and PIUT TEN

The registration can be cancelled. A refund is only possible if appropriate insurance was taken out at the time of registration.

If you want to take part at short notice, have changed your mind, are ill or don't feel fit enough, you can easily register or re-register. You can do this at the Race Office.

Age restrictions:

  • PIUT TEN: from the age of 12 with written parental consent; no age limit when accompanied.
  • PIUT 20: 16–99 years. Participants aged 12 and over may take part when accompanied; from the age of 16, written parental consent is required.
  • PIUT 30–100: 18–99 years.

We recommend trail running shoes with a profiled sole that are suitable for running in alpine terrain.

The restaurants in Ischgl, Kappl, See and Galtür offer great meals for everyone. However, you have to pay the costs yourself.
