The Tourism Games by Ischgl will take place from 22 to 23 April 2024 - an exciting triathlon between young heroes. The event is aimed at young talents from tourism businesses and tourism schools in Austria, South Tyrol and Bavaria

The Tourism Games consist of three disciplines: cooking, bartending and marketing. Participants between the ages of 16 and 30 compete against each other in teams of five in order to master predefined tasks in their respective categories. A high-calibre panel of experts will evaluate and judge the teams' performances.

In addition, all participants can look forward to a welcome evening on the day before the competition, an exceptional dinner in a gourmet restaurant in Ischgl and an exciting prize-giving ceremony with an after-show party!

  • 50 Euro per participant (supervisors free)

The Triathlon

The Tourism Games by Ischgl take place at different venues: The competition in the Cooking category will be held on the Ischgl Stage on the Idalp, the Bartending competition in the Champagner Club and the Marketing category in the 3-S Pardatschgratbahn cable car.

In the cooking category, two chefs have to prepare a dish within a set time frame using a fixed shopping basket. In the bartending category, a service employee has to prepare and serve a certain number of drinks within a set time and with the help of a fixed shopping basket. In the marketing category, participants have to develop a marketing concept for one of two predetermined topics related to tourism and present it in a pitch to the expert jury in the cable car. The expert jury assess the teams' performances based on various criteria.  

Schedule

  • 2 weeks before the start of the triathlon, all participants receive the shopping basked to prepare for each category
  • 22 April: Welcome evening with all the important information about the event in Fire & Ice Ischgl
  • 23 April: Competition day
    • 7:00 pm: Dinner in a gourmet restaurant in Ischgl
    • 10:00 pm: Award ceremony in the Champagner Club followed by an after-show party

Teams

The participants in the triathlon compete against each other in teams of 5 in the respective disciplines and have to master predefined tasks. Each team has a team supervisor, who can be chosen by the participants themselves.

Cooking: 2 persons
Bartending: 1 person
Marketing: 2 persons

Prizes


The Tourism Games by Ischgl include an individual ranking as well as an overall ranking for all participants and teams.

  • Individual ranking:
    • The 3 best participants in each discipline will be crowned "heroes of the day“ and will receive exclusive prizes appropriate to the category. 
  • Overall ranking:
    • The 3 best teams across all disciplines have the opportunity to
      • get to know top chefs during a 5-day hostage programme (Cooking category)
      • train as a qualified bartender in Tyrol, Vorarlberg or Salzburg (Bartending category)
      • go on a day trip to Paznaun with a well-known influencer (Marketing category)
