DAILY WEATHER IN DETAIL
THE WEATHER TODAY
This week, a high-pressure system centred over Western Europe will be determining our weather. As this is a high-pressure fringe situation, we cannot yet look forward to completely calm and stable fine weather up to and including Friday, even though the positive aspects of the weather will far outweigh the negative ones. If anything, there will mostly just be a few harmless clouds accompanying the sunshine. At times, however, the sky will be virtually cloudless. It is only in the mountains that this high-pressure system, accompanied by a north-westerly wind that may pick up in strength at times, will be felt more distinctly. The wind will repeatedly cool the air noticeably here, yet temperatures for the last third of September will still remain above the long-term average. Even a cold front arriving later on Thursday afternoon won’t change this much. It is also not yet entirely clear just how strongly this will actually affect us. The only thing that seems certain is that the weekend looks set to bring beautiful, warm late-summer weather once again.
