DAILY WEATHER IN DETAIL
THE WEATHER TODAY
The influence of high pressure may strengthen further on Tuesday, and temperatures will rise significantly. Any remaining morning clouds will dissipate, and at most a few thin, wispy clouds will join the sunshine during the day. This trend will continue for the time being on Wednesday. We’ll start the day with pleasant, sunny weather, and it will become comfortably mild around noon. But as much as this feels like spring, late winter will soon make its presence felt. In the course of the afternoon, conditions will cloud over with the arrival of a distinct cold front, followed by heavy precipitation. The snow line will drop rapidly below 1000 meters above sea level and subsequently settle in low-lying valley areas. As the cold front passes through on Thursday night, a very cold northwesterly flow will take hold. Polar cold air will reach us, bringing heavy snow showers to the mountains on Thursday and Friday. The landscape will be blanketed in winter white. The snowfall will largely subside by the weekend, though the cold will remain.
