The Culinary Summer 2021 once again promises several highlights and most importantly, indulgent moments. The events relating to the Culinary Way of St. James are perfect for all foodies and also for those who want to combine mountain adventures with cuisine.
The event will commence on Saturday 10th July with a hike to the Almstüberl with top chef Martin Sieberer. Following this, there will be five other hikes with the participating top chefs of the Culinary Way of St. James spread across the summer. These gourmet hikes will be accompanied by culinary evenings in the associated hotel or restaurant.
The 12th market day of the Paznauner Almkäse region will take place on August 28, 2021. At the Florian car park in Ischgl, various products from the Tyrolean culinary regions are presented and sold. In addition to the culinary delicacies, musical delicacies with parade and traditional folk dances ensure an appealing and varied entertainment program.
It’s time to say cheese – at the 27th International Alpine Cheese Olympics in Galtür! The renowned event celebrates the best cheeses of the region and awards the ones with the finest ingredients and best taste. More than 100 dairymen from Germany, Austria, Italy, Liechtenstein and Switzerland are presenting their best cheeses.
A specialist jury awards the "Galtürer Sennerharfe" in gold, silver and bronze. Tasting is of course a must!
